It's Easy to Get Started!

  • Download the Activity materials located in the Documents section on this page
  • Option 1: Print out the materials for discussion
  • Option 2: virtually meet, share your screen, and type your responses directly into the PDF

There are no wrong answers here so be respectful of other's perspectives!

Role Play!

The activities for older children and adults includes Generation and Labor Profile activities, in which you can use the character descriptions to explore the needs of our community from a perspective different than your own. Think about your grandma, your daughter, your neighbor, or your co-worker.

Use the Generation Profiles to discuss what Bolivar needs to attract and retain all generations to our community and how each generation's needs will change from 2040 and beyond.

Use the Labor Profiles to discuss our community needs from today to 2040 and beyond, but from the vantage point of different employees that live and/or work in Bolivar.

Some conversation starters:

  • What kind of housing will be needed in 2040?
  • How will technology play a role in our everyday lives?
  • What transportation options should be made available?
  • What City services should be expanded or improved to meet our future needs?
  • How will needs and trends of generations impact retail in the future?

Map It!

Once you've had time to discuss these topics, help us identify locations throughout our community that we want to Preserve, Enhance, Strengthen, or Transform to achieve our vision and meet the needs of Bolivar residents in 2040 and beyond.
